Laser Therapy

Cold laser light or other wise known as low level laser penetrates the surface of the skin with no heating effect or damage. The photo energy is directed deep into the effected area stimulating the body's cell which converts the energy into chemical energy to promote natural healing. Cold lasers are very helpful in decreasing pain, decreasing swelling and promoting circulation and healing. There are many conditions in which we have great success, some of the following are: TMJ dysfunction, carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis, pain in the body including shoulders, knee, elbow, ankles, bursitis, plantar fascitis, tendonitis, golfers elbow, tennis elbow, pre and post surgery, scar tissue, diabetic conditions and a variety of other conditions. If you would like more information about the incredible healing effects of laser, please do not hesitate to contact our office.

Dr. Michelle Asks some important questions of interest to Encinitas residents - Chiropractor Encinitas Dr. Michelle Asks...

What's the difference between chiropractic and medicine?
Medical treatment focuses on the disease or the symptom. Chiropractic focuses on the person with the disease or the symptom. Medical treatment usually involves changing blood chemistry. Chiropractic involves restoring nervous system integrity. Medical doctors prescribe medicine. Chiropractors adjust the spine—a common source of nervous system interference.
Are aches and pains good or bad?
While aches or pains may be unpleasant, they're merely warning signs. As a Encinitas chiropractor, I see this all the time. The pain is not the problem! It just means a limitation has been reached and something needs to change. That's when we get to work correcting the underlying cause.
